It is true that we live in a world where it is easier to adopt the habits and beliefs of those around us. God allows us the freedom to develop our own minds. It is our duty in life though to know right from wrong and set and example fo others. Also, if there is a loved one or friend or acquaintance that is preaching their beliefs and those beliefs go against God's teaching, then it is our duty to set our friends straight, acting as a sort of peer group for them.

Since reading your horoscope in the newspaper/magazine or getting your fortune told at a fair is moreover commonplace nowadays, it is up to us to set the example and not settle into these practises of astrology. If people you know do these things, tell them it is wrong and against God's plan to try to forseen their future. Tell them that God is in charge no matter what, and that they should pray to him for guidence rather thatn taking their fortune in their own hands by trying to rely on the prophesies of palm readers and fortune tellers.
