Scriptures for Parents and Children

Taking a child, He set him before them, and taking him in His arms, He said to them,
"Whoever receives one child like this in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me does not receive Me, but Him who sent Me."

Mark 9:36-37 New American Standard

"Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."
Mark 10:15 New King James Version

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.
Psalm 127:3 New King James Version

And Jesus called a little child to Him,
set him in the midst of them, and said,
"Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and
become as little children, you will by no means
enter the kingdom of heaven.
Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child
is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
And whoever receives one little child
like this in My name receives Me.

But whoever causes one of these little ones
who believe in Me to sin,
it would be better for him
if a millstone were hung around his neck,
and he were drowned in the depth of the sea."

Matthew 18:2-6 New King James Version

Then little children were brought to Him that He might put His hands on them and pray, but the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me,
and do not forbid them;
for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Matthew 19:13-14 New King James Version

But when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that He did, and the children crying out in the temple and saying,
"Hosanna to the Son of David!"
they were indignant and said to Him,
"Do you hear what these are saying?"
And Jesus said to them,
"Yes. Have you never read,
'Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants
You have perfected praise'?"

Matthew 21:15-16 New King James Version

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right."Honor your father and mother," which is the first commandment with promise:
"that it may be well with you
and you may live long on the earth."

Ephesians 6:1-3 New King James Version

Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord.
Colossians 3:20

"But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen. "
2 Peter 3:18
